NABO MUS TOURNAMENT in CHINO
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 6
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Chino Basque Club.  The cost is $50.  Lunch is included.

 
BASQUE CULTURE HIGHLIGHTED AT THE SMITHSONIAN | MEETING JANUARY 24TH
The Smithsonian Folklife Festival will be highlighting “Basques, Innovation by Culture” this year.  It will be held from June 29 to July 4 and July 7 to July 10,  at the National Mall in Washington D.C. For more information click the button below.
Begoña Echeverria has been asked by the Smithsonian to be on the Community Advisory Group to discuss “community engagement” events in the months leading up to the festival.  We are also very hopeful that Chino will be represented by both the Gauden Bat and NOKA.
There will be a meeting at the Club on Sunday, January 24 at 11:30 a.m. (before the Club lunch) for those of you who are  interested in sharing your thoughts.

CLUB ELECTIONS
Members, you will be receiving the final  ballot in the mail. This is for your 2016 Board of Directors. Be sure to mark no more than 4 names. Either mail the ballot back to PO Box 1080, Chino, CA, bring it to the lunch on January 24th or bring it to the mus tournament on February 6th.   
Deadline is Februry 6, 2016

Pelota practice is at the Aphessetche Trinquet  (winter months) and at the Centro Basco during the spring & summer months. 9 a.m. on Sundays. Email Mike Aphessetche for information at mikexa70@gmail.com.
