CBC PARTNERING WITH FIRE DEPARTMENT TOY DRIVE

This year the Chino Basque Club is helping our county fire department collect and distribute newunwrapped toys and sports equipment for underserved children and teens. We will be collecting items at the Club lunches. Please consider the age group 10 to 16 as this drive rarely seems to get enough donations for this particular age group.

Help us make these children’s Christmas just a little bit better.

BASQUES RUN BOSTON MARATHON

Louise Camou, CBC Boardmember, and Amelie Tristant, Club member JB Tristant’s daughter, ran the Boston Marathon on April 18, 2022.

To run this marathon (26.2 miles) one needs to have a qualifying race behind them.

Both ladies ran in record speed and were happy to share their experience at Club member Jackie Ramirez’ wedding on April 30th.

CBC NABO MUS TOURNAMENT WINNERS

Our tournament was held on Saturday, April 2nd at the Club. A total of 16 teams participated…and the winners were: 1st Place: Iñaki Lazcano & Mike Leonis | 2nd Place: Fidel Marcos & Pedro Marizcurrena

The 1st Place team will play at the NABO finals on June 18th at the Chino Basque Club.

2022 NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS ANNOUNCED

The Chino Basque Club recently held our elections to replace two outgoing members – this was a very, very close race. Please join us in welcoming our newly elected Board members, Louise Camou and Andrea Bidart.

The goal of the Board of Directors is to maintain our cultural ties with our community as well as other Basque organizations throughout the world.

FEBRUARY CLUB LUNCH, CELEBRATING RAYMOND BACHOC’S BIRTHDAY

Join us for our club lunch where we’ll be celebrating our most senior member Raymond Bachoc’s 92nd birthday!

We’ll be service tripotas and chicken – here’s the information you’ll need.
