CBC PICNIC 2020 NEWS

There will be NO ANNUAL PICNIC IN 2020
due to the Coronavirus COVID-19

The numbers are not in our favor!
Obviously, we are unable to obtain city and county permits!

BUT, HEY!!
WE ARE THE CHINO BASQUE CLUB!!!

STAY TUNED TO SEE WHAT WE HAVE IN STORE FOR YOU!

ISIDORE CAMOU 1939-2020

Isidore came to Chino from Irissarry, France in 1961. He worked as a milker for many years but he and his wife, Marie Claire would eventually buy and manage a motel in Riverside.  Isidore was a dedicated husband and father. They would have five children and eventually 11 grandchildren. Most important to us, Isidore was the pillar of our Basque community. He became a member of the Chino Basque Club in 1976 and worked tirelessly ever since. He was instrumental in making sure we had a club house and was our main chef. Isidore was elected to the Board numerous times and along with his wife, Marie Claire, was the recipient of the Bizi Emankorra award. We shall miss his quiet, charming ways as well as his work ethic. Isidore has been an inspiration to us all. Our most sincere sympathies to Marie Claire, Frank, Alain, Patrick, Dominique, Louise and their families.
