JOIN US ON SATURDAY, APRIL 22,
FOR A SPECIAL PRESENTATION

We will be commemorateing the
80th anniversary of the bombing of Gernika.
A short video produced by
Begoña Echeverria & Marianna Etcheverria will be shown.
A plaque will be placed in front of the tree in the coming weeks.The Tree of Gernika is a symbol of peace and freedom to the Basques
similar to what the Statue of Liberty is to Americans.

Basque Easter will be celebrated on Sunday, April 23 at 10:00 a.m. at
St. Margaret’s Hall in Chino.  Father Altuna will be officiating.
Basque Breakfast will follow at the Centro Basco Hotel.

UDALEKU COMMITTEE  REPORT

The Udaleku Committee is still needing help and would appreciate contact before their next meeting on April 29th.  Following is an update:
Udaleka will begin on Sunday, June 25 for a two-week period;
housing for over 100 children is complete;
help is needed with transportation to planned events including a day in Los Angeles, a day at Disneyland and an excursion to the beach; and
help is needed with meals that will be provided to the students during the classes.If you can help in any way please contact:

CELEBRATE THE 1980’s IN MAY

Plan on joining us for dinner on Saturday, May 20.
We will be celebrating the 1980’s–dress accordingly–and
dancing to the Go-Go’s, Boy George, KC & the Sunshine Band.Yes, we will be stepping back in time to most especially
commemorate the building of the Club (1982-83).

Activities Schedule

Pilota practice is at the Aphessetche Trinquet  (winter months) and at the Centro Basco during the spring & summer months. 9 a.m. on Sundays. Email Mike Aphessetche for information at mikexa70@gmail.com.
Pala practice at the Aphessetche Trinquet.  Time will fluctuate, so phone John Plaa for information (951) 205-6030.Dance Practices will begin Sunday, April 30 at 4 p.m. for Eskualdun Izarrak & Dantzari Onestak,  Txori Ttipiak will begin in May.
