The Chino Basque Club has been a member of NABO (North American Basque Organization) since 1978.  NABO is a federation of Basque organizations throughout Canada and the United States, pooling resources in joint ventures to promote Basque Heritage.  For more information see www.naBASQUE.org.

Our Club was founded in 1968 to promote and preserve Basque culture.  Please see the History of the Chino Basque Club video for more detail located in THINGS TO WATCH.

The preservation of our culture includes holding our monthly luncheons to maintain old friendships and encourage new ones,  support of pelota (handball), mus (the Basque card game), the southern California dance groups, klika (the drum & bugle corp) and the support of all other efforts to this end goal.

The Club also sponsors annual events such as a Memorial Mass and a Labor Day picnic. Other special events include evenings like the Lifetime Achievement Award Dinner.

A key dimension to our club is the TALENT of our members–those who cook & clean, paint & build, sing & dance, teach and generally find ways to help each other in this common cause to keep our traditions alive for future generations.

With continued support of our members and other Basques we hope to keep these efforts going strong.  We are the Chino Basque Club…we do STUFF!
