About Pala

A variation to pelota that has become popular by using wooden pallets instead of bare hands is “pala.”  Pala goes back to the early 1980’s in the Chino area at the Aphessetche Trinquet, the Centro Basco and the Bidart Fronton.  Games are played to 50 points and last one hour to one and a half hours.  Most games are two to two; others are one against one or “mano mano” which is played less frequently.

Practices will begin in January and will fluctuate according to players’ availability. They are held at:

Aphessetche Trinket

7262 Bickmore Avenue

Chino, CA
