Klika is a “drum and bugle corp” that is typically found in the northern provinces.  It is a military marching band dating back to the Napoleonic era.  Many of the young French Basques who were drafted into the army learned to play bugles or drums.

Jean Louis Indart initiated the klika for the southern California area in 1967 and it has been going strong ever since.  Today’s klika includes a couple of the original players as well as their sons and daughters.
